Challenges- Timarron putting greens are 28 years old and have 4-8 inches of organic matter that has built up on top of the original sand construction. This organic matter holds excess water which creates soft greens and shallow rooted turf.
Solutions- Inject sand channels into the greens to increase drainage.
These new sand channels can be seen in the photos below. These fresh 6-7" deep sand channels will help move water deeper into the profile and create a more consistent and better putting surface for our members.
