old sprinkler drives
wire trench #10 fairway
Priority #1 over the last 30 days has been to do an irrigation audit on the golf course and clubhouse grounds. When the irrigation system is not working correctly, you will have more wet and dry spots, which ultimately affects playability of the course. August is a great time to do this. If something irrigation related is not working correctly, the grass will be browned out!
We have already replaced at least 20 sprinkler drives that were not turning. We have also spent alot of time correcting sprinklers that were out of adjustment.
At the beginning of #10 fairway four sprinkler heads were not working. The photo above shows the new wire installed to correct this problem. A similar electric wire repair was made to get five sprinklers working on #12 fairway.
Alot of time and money has been spent to correct these issues. Timarron irrigation system is working better, but we still have a ways to go!
