Greens Plugs

Below you can see some of the damage that #7 green received from the February winter storm.  You can also see how we have started to use plugs of sod to repair the damaged areas.  We are simply swapping good grass for bad grass and taking the good grass from the edge of green.  The plan is to use this procedure to repair the following greens-2,3,5,6,7,18.

By repairing the green this way, the soil remains the same across the entire green and no new/different soil is introduced.  This is a short-term issue and these areas will heal, but more importantly, long-term we are not compromising the performance of the green.
