We recently overseeded both the north and south driving range tees with winter ryegrass. It will take approximately 21-28 days for the seed to establish a good surface and be ready for golfers. During this establishment period, it will be hitting mats only. The reason this is done is that the bermudagrass base will slow growth and eventually become dormant. The winter ryegrass is temporary and will provide a nice hitting surface throughout the winter and spring months. Once we get to June, all the ryegrass will die and the bermudagrass will fill in the voids. Thank you for your patience during the establishment phase.
